P1 = Temperature of material not above 40 degrees. Certificate from Shipper required. Disconnection of electric equipments. No smoking.
P2 = Material only transportable in Bulk. Satisfactory tests of competent authorities should be met. Availability of adequate water for
fire-fighting. No welding, cutting, burning. Avoid entry of oxidizing material into other space and bilges. Insulation of bulkhead between
cargo hold and engine room. Hatches of holds to be kept free for opening in case of emergency. Cover cargo with plastic foil to minimize
damage. Protective clothing, goggle, and dust filter masks for individuals.
P3 = Bunkering or shifting pumping of fuel oil adjacent to cargo hold not allowed. Disconnection of electric equipments.
P4 = No smoking as long as material is on board. Availability of adequate water for fire-fighting. Fire hoses laid up in position ready for
immediate use. No welding, cutting, burning. Hatches of holds to be kept free for opening in case of emergency. Protective clothing,
goggle, and dust filter masks for individuals.
P5 = Cleaning of cargo spaces into which non-hazardous ammonium nitrate based fertilizers will be loaded in addition to P3.
